100th Anniversary
A century ago a group of forward-looking Americans founded a group focused on the fledgling field of aviation. The Aero Club of America, now the National Aeronautic Association, believed in powered flight despite naysayers; in 1905, the Wright Brothers had not yet gone public with their invention.
A century later, NAA—the oldest national aviation association in existence—is as relevant today as it was 100 years ago. It still exists to fulfill its unique mission of advancing the art, sport and science of aviation.
Just two years after the centennial of the first flight, NAA is marking its 100th anniversary in 2005. We will be celebrating our anniversary all year long with special opportunities and events, so stay tuned for details as they become available!
